Our Team
Our close-knit team is dedicated to the practice, and Dr Alka Bhide and Dr Maha Bhide our lead fertility experts have no NHS or commitments, so you are guaranteed prompt appointments and continuity of care.
Dr Mahadeo Bhide did is post-graduation in OG in India and then his residency in east-London rotation in the 1990s. He worked alongside Professor Grudzinskas at Bart’s Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital London, as his research registrar till 2001. He established and ran a successful IVF clinic in Mumbai India and since the last 10 years focussed on his fertility practice in the UK.
Miss Bhide has trained both in India and in London alongside Professor Grudzinskas at Bart’s Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital, London, where she served as a senior registrar.
Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist based at Basildon University Hospital, Essex. Mr Thakur has three decades of experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology from India and the UK. He was a lecturer in Mumbai University following his medical graduation in Mumbai. He also carried out training in North East London rotation for 6 years before taking over as a consultant position in Basildon Hospital. His special interests include minimal access surgery- Laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. Those of our patients who have fibroids or polyps can be seen and treated by Mr Thakur. When not working, Mr Thakur indulges in his passion for longs walks in the rural country side listening to his favourite music. Unless ofcourse he is at the Lords Cricket stadium watching test matches or playing senior cricket league.
Mr Ravi Kulkarni is a Consultant Urological Surgeon Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital Ashford Middlesex for the last 25 years. Apart from other urological work he is interested and experienced in the management of impotence and infertility. Mr Ravi Kulkarni helps our couples with “male factor” – typically low sperm counts or even no sperms (azoo-spermia). Many such patients will benefit from IVF-ISCI using sperm extracted from either the tubes transporting the sperm (vas or epididymis) or directly from the testis. There are many other conditions where his expertise and surgical skills prove invaluable to our patients. Mr Kulkarni is a well know teacher in the surgical world and his teaching seminars and workshops are in great demand. A very friendly and down to earth clinician who can make his patients feel at ease in no time. Mr Ravi Kulkarni is passionate about art and music and travelling the world (often with a conference or workshop thrown in) which occupies any spare time he has.
Anthony is an experienced therapist who has been providing counselling support for almost 20 years, specifically focusing on grief, loss, infertility / assisted conception and trauma through his private practice, charities and clinics. He is a Senior Accredited member of the National Counselling Association (NCS) and sits on their Assessment, Complaints and Appeals panel. Also a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA), he writes for and sits on their journal sub-committee and speaks at fertility events throughout the year.
Our Outreach Clinics
Our main clinic with the embryology laboratory is located in Colliers wood, south London. We also see patients in 3 other CQC registered clinics so that our patients can have their consultations and scans close to where they live or work.
Our “outreach clinics” are in Croydon, in West Byfleet (Surrey), in Southall (Ealing, West London). Our clinics include evening and weekend clinics that fit both your schedule and your cycle.
